Pro Motion Hire's 400K stock expansion meets demands of international news broadcast community as camera hire surges 50% in run up to Royal Wedding

Today Pro Motion Hire, the media and broadcast camera rental specialists, announced that it had seen a fifty percent surge in camera hire, as global broadcasters gear-up to report live from the Royal Wedding on the 29th April. Working with Azule Finance, Pro Motion Hire has been scaling up its stock of popular and internationally respected broadcast cameras, to meet the hire demands of international broadcasters, such as Network 10 in Australia.

Since the wedding was announced in November last year, Pro Motion Hire has been inundated with requests for internationally recognised HD camera formats, with Sony's XDCAM proving the stand-out performer on the international broadcast circuit. Working with Azule to satisfy demand, Pro Motion Hire has invested over 400K in broadcast kit, expanding its fleet of Sony's popular PDW-F800 and PDW-700 broadcast cameras.

Duncan Martin, Managing Director, Pro Motion Hire, commented on how the Royal Wedding has impacted his business: "In the days running up to the Royal Wedding our entire stock of cameras and decks will be out in action across the capital. Over the last 6 months, we've been working closely with Azule Finance to expand and balance our kit portfolio. We needed to capitalise on this huge live broadcast opportunity, without over-extending our catalogue, for what is essentially a week long surge in activity. In this industry, reputation is everything and with the Summer Games on the horizon, we needed the best kit on our books to build our reputation as preferred suppliers for these international broadcast teams in the future."

Peter Savage, Managing Director, Azule Finance commented on Pro Motion Hire's expansion: "April is traditionally a quiet month for the hire industry. The Royal Wedding to not just a welcome revenue boost, but a chance for savvy hire companies like Pro Motion Hire to build relationships with global broadcasters that will bolster its business both now and in the future. Pro Motion Hire's expansion of its Sony XDCAM fleet was a sound investment, this intuitive range of cameras, with a reputation for delivering internationally recognised HD, has proved exceptionally popular with both national and international news teams."

Amongst its new international customers, Pro Motion Hire supplied news teams from Australian Broadcaster Network 10 with three Sony PDW-F800s. Network 10 will be reporting live on the Royal Wedding over the next 10 days.
