XDCAM HD case study

Bright Media is a team based in Brighton that specialise in creative video production. Headed up by MD Lucas Tucknott they work closely with clients on every aspect of a project from pre-production planning to final cut and delivery. They have specialists in each area of production who are able give guidance during each step of the process. Their main line of work is bringing creative HD Broadcast quality production, to corporate clients.
The shoot in question was shot on the 28th of February at Castle Gibson, the original location of BBC’s Dragons’ Den, in South Tottenham. British Gas were organising a day to give area heads the opportunity to pitch their ideas for investment in-front of company heads. The idea then came about to film and present the day in a Dragons’ Den style. After hearing this news they proceeded to track down the original location of the show and start compiling kit requirements.

Lucas says "from the word go i decided that we needed to shoot tapeless HD. Centrica wanted a quick turnaround and we wanted to deliver in the highest possible quality. The work flow that the XDCAM’s deliver is phenomenal, from acquisition to post. With 10, thirty minute pitches to cover and interviews in just one day the schedule was tight. But thanks to the versatility of the XDCAM’s we were able to shoot in various different situations and lighting conditions, quickly and effectively. Dealing with Pro Motion is always a pleasure, they will go the extra mile to cater for your production needs. The kit was in immaculate condition and included everything you would expect, plus additional items to make your production flow effortlessly. The guys at Pro Motion really took the weight off my shoulders regarding my kit requirements. They really are a one-stop-shop for everything you need."
Lucas added "After using tapeless i can’t imagine going back to the old way of acquisition and post. It gave me great results, quickly, effectively and conveniently."
